Love…hurts. But it’s also highly entertaining. Spend your evening with some lovely ladies that’ll give you what you really want: blood, sweat, and tears…on wheels and in skirts. Founded in 2003, the LA Derby Dolls are L.A’s original, women’s quad-skate roller derby league with a serious fan following. Bouts are full-contact, action-packed fun. Crowds enjoy cold beers, heavy cheers, and of course, raw roller derby. Be there to see the Tough Cookies square off against Fight Crew on the 13th.

The Santa Barbara International Film Festival

Why not take a quick get-away to beautiful Santa Barbara and catch the last bit of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival? Lots of great, independent films are being screened from all over the world–something any cinephile will appreciate. Take a look at the schedule here.

But maybe a romantic get-away is not exactly your cup-o’-tea. Maybe you prefer you movies (and romance) with a little more…spunk. The Devil’s Drive will be screening the tale of the mutually-destructive Sid & Nancy on the 13th. Pre-sale tickets are sold out; but if you get there right at 6pm, you’ll probably be able to snatch a spot. And there’s plenty of walk-in spots.
