20 years ago, Street Poets launched its first poetry workshop at Camp Fred Miller, an L.A. County Probation facility for boys. Today, the organization reaches over 750 boys and girls throughout Los Angeles County’s school and probation systems, and reaches thousands more via their Poetry in Motion van.

On Saturday, May 9th, Street Poets Inc. will honor 20 years of inspiring work with a benefit at Smashbox Studios in Culver City. Join us to celebrate the release of True Nature, a beautiful book of portraits of the Street Poets community by photographer Don Flood.
